Jacob & James have created a community around this historic property in Colon, Michigan. Originally purchased as a weekend getaway from their Chicago professional lives, it quickly became more than that. They started hosting small events to bring life to the house and property that had been missing for years. The events took off and they knew something special was being born. Now, six years later, the property is transitioning to a private dining location, where some of the Midwest’s top chefs come to cook.
The idea of The Parlor began in 2019 when Gabe, Rita and Matt had their first conversation about this big dream.
In the spring of 2021 we worked with Marissa Christine to start working on our logo & brand vision board.
We broke ground and started moving dirt for the first time in July of 2021.
We were told our logo should have something specific that was unique to us… so in January 2022, Pearl was created. We gave Marissa Christine a lot of idea photos of the kind of cow we were looking for and she nailed it!
